About

Hi,
I’m a software engineer (studied Electronic Engineering) at a big automotive supplier. Most of my time I swim in the Embedded System world (autonomous driving). There are some python/Matlab tools/scripts there, but the main focus is on C/C++.

In 2020, during the pandemic, I got curious about artificial intelligence. So I did a course Introduction to TensorFlow for AI, ML and DS at coursera.org. I remember clearly, “It’s super easy to do machine learning… just a couple lines of code”. Well, I did the MNIST Fashion Dataset… I did not know about the complexity of real-world problems that you are facing if you are doing Machine Learning (Don’t get me wrong. I’m still a beginner).

In the last years I missed out the important steps to get further. Yes, I did another big course at coursera.org the IBM Data Science Professional Certificate. It took me around 4-5 month in total, but I couldn’t make the jump to move on. To move on to do something with it.

It’s time to leave the happy path. Stop doing another course.

I would like to share my journey through the machine learning jungle and invite you to comment and get in touch with me if you want to.

So again, Why writing online about machine learning? I read at swyx.io blog about that approach #learn-in-public. I really like the idea about creating content, learning from it, share it and also get in touch with other people.
